POWER GENERATION SERVICE ADVISOR

Responsible for serving as the primary contact and source of information for all services provided to customers by the service department. Oversee departmental service assignments.
Our Client is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Service Adviser for their high volume Power Generation Service Department. The responsibilities of the Service Adviser are to support the generator technicians, service and sales process as well as general participation within the Power Generation team.
The Service Adviser will assist in the operation of managing a profitable service department through productive staffing, strong customer satisfaction, cost controls, setting and meeting objectives with high initiative for change and control of service activity.
The Service Adviser will:
*Answer phones and communicate with customers as needed.
*Provide customers with any copies of invoice's or service reports they may need. To include analysis reports and testing reports.
*Breaking down charges on invoices for customers and explaining why they are being charged what they were charged.
*Send all invoices to customers.
*Track down and send out oil & fuel samples for analysis.
*Send out Load Bank Test results to customers.
*Secure up-front payment of work to be performed (Purchase Order, Check, Credit Card....).
*Schedule work with customer.
*Correspond with Technicians for work schedules.
*Keeping field service tracking and Outlook updated.
*Schedule outside vendor on one off jobs where only one vendor is needed.
*Schedule routine fleet maintenance on company trucks, Ex oil changes
As it relates to Warranty:
*Request warranty claim and copy Supervisor on claim request before performing work.
*Notify Supervisor upon lack of response or unwanted response from warranty department.
*Prepare all jobs upon completion of warranty work and give to person filing warranty within 2 days of completion.
*Perform all additional works quotes that are non-extensive (Engine Overhauls, switch upgrades, and so forth should go to Supervisor if further knowledge is needed and before sending to customer).
*Deliver quotes to customers and copy Supervisor and Sales Rep for that AOR.
*Follow up on quotes weekly and cancel after 30 days with no response and file accordingly, forwarding note to Sales Rep that quote is being canceled. Larger quotes can run to 90 days (ex. Projects, Overhauls).
