Summary:
American Diesel Outfitters LLC® is seeking an experienced Branch Operations Manager to lead our clients team in San Leandro, CA!! This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team in a new market.
Position Responsibilities:
The Operations Manager is responsible for profitable operations and growth of the San Leandro Parts and Service Business. Responsible for all branch operations, facility and personnel. Expectations include the following as well as other duties as assigned:
Provide leadership to the San Leandro Branch in order to deliver on our financial, market share and positional goals while insuring strong, positive customer, employee and vendor relations. Direct P&L responsibility for service and parts departments.
This role has broad responsibility for overall management that ensures a safe work environment, maximizes profitable growth, drives quality improvements, provides premier customer service, develops a technically qualified work force and reduces operating costs and lead times through continuous improvements.
Duties:
Maintain profitable and efficient Parts and Service departments, includes responsibility for inventory management
Monitor financial performance, plan and implement necessary corrective actions to achieve and exceed our budgets
Foster a culture of continuous improvement consistent with our clients Values
Using performance management as a discipline, coach individuals to make greater contributions to the success of the business unit
Lead organizational development, realignment and planning
Lead workforce planning and employee development
Insure all departments and staff function within all our clients safety guidelines and insure all work is done in a safe manner
Work with Regional Manager to develop annual budgets, forecasts and capital expense needs
Partner with our clients leadership to further develop our processes, tools, key indicators, staff development and safety efforts for continuous improvement of our entire organization.
Skills and Abilities:
Technical skills required to understand and propose products or solutions by focusing on client requirements.
Working knowledge of operational budgets, forecasting and key metrics.
Ability to delegate responsibilities and provide leadership and training to key personnel.
Possession of key competencies, including conflict management, business negotiation, and organizational decision-making.
Strong communication including verbal and written.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership and team building skills.
Ability to conduct basic market and local industry analysis.
Ability to sell and convey brand value to customers.
Time management, prioritization and planning skills.
Education:
BA or BS degree with proven working experience in Operations and Business Management or a relevant role for 5+ years
Other Skills and Abilities:
Experience with the On-Highway truck service and parts business preferred
Proficiency with MS Office products and Dynamics CRM
